On Justice Goldstone and Jewish Values
New in the Website
Rabbi Michael Lerner, the editor of the USA-based Jewish progressive magazine Tikkun, said in late April that Tikkun had "decided to award Judge Goldstone the annual Tikkun Award at the celebration of our 25th Anniversary in the Spring of 2011." Goldstone was chosen as this year's recipient of the Tikkun Award because "the peace community both in Israel and around the world see Justice Goldstone as upholding the best ethical values of the Jewish community." Lerner claimed outrage at what he called "the treatment [Goldstone] has received" by the Jewish community.
The Goldstone Report had received extensive coverage in this website and with a good reason. It isn’t often than a Zionist-Jew is send by the UN to investigate the IDF crimes in Gaza and comes out with a report condemning Israel. Defining Israel as a “Terror Inflicting” entity, the report was accepted by the Human Rights Council of the UN on October 16, 2009. The Hebrew media openly claimed it wouldn’t be possible to brush aside the report, that it is here to stay with us.
In this context the decision of Tikkun is a landmark. Even Jews by religion (mere ethnic Jews have already adopted it a long time ago) are beginning to realize the report is true and that Israel is a terrorist entity. In that context I bless the Tikkun decision. However, I must say it left me a bit confused; Rabbi Lerner – as any good Pharisee – wasn’t explicit enough. What are those “Jewish Values” he is referring to? Since he gave no answers, I decided to take a look myself at some of the Jews’ actions beyond Israel’s borders.
Elie Wiesel is a well known American Jew; he won the 1986 Peace Nobel Price. He built his career on his memories from Auschwitz Birkenau. In his Peace Nobel Prize acceptance speech he said: “I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” He deplores violence from both sides and preaches never to be silent about violence. Yet, what about the Israeli violence described by the Goldstone Report? What values is he preaching to?
The Anti-Defamation League – better known as ADL – motto is: “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people…to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” Their goals include to "fight anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defend democratic ideals and protect civil rights for all;" based on the Goldstone Report they should thoroughly fight Israel, yet they do not do so. Based on Jewish reports there is discrimination in Israel against Mizrahim; yet, they care not about that. Thus these are not Jewish Values.
Victor Ostrovsky did describe extensively the treacherousness of Jewish communities around the world, they are de facto a Fifth Column and Trojan Horse working for the spidery State of Israel. I’ve seen this collaboration along my years as refugee. My strangulation in 2009 wouldn’t have happened without the collaboration of local Jews and Israeli tourists in the city that gave me refuge. In The Cross of Bethlehem I describe many more similar events. Are these the Jewish Values we are so desperately looking for?
”No, no, no, he picks up the exceptions,” would probably be Rabbi Schmeck’s reaction if he did bother reading this article. OK, let’s say I’ll accept this argument. Let’s look at the Jewish-Pharisaic bastion usually known as the Talmud. Every rabbi learns it – instead of learning about true Faith - thus its texts should be representative of Jewish Values, after all it isn’t directly related to the State of Israel.
I gave a long review of the topic in the past, thus I won’t repeat it here, except for one point. The Talmud enlightens us that baby boys may be used as subjects for sodomy by grown men (See Exhibit 54 – from the downloads section of this website). The Pharisaic excuse is that until a child reaches sexual maturity, he or she does not rank as a person; hence Biblical laws against sodomy do not apply. Throughout the Talmud "nine years and one day" is the age of male maturity. According to the Talmud, under "nine years and one day," the "first stage of intercourse" of a boy with the mother, or any grown woman, is harmless. Shammai – who contributed vast texts to the Talmud, lowers the age to eight years in some cases. (See Exhibit 82 from Sanhedrin 69b).
Not less shocking is the following text: "When a grown up man has intercourse with a little girl it is nothing, for when the girl is less than this — that is, less than three years old — it is as if one puts the finger into the eye — tears come to the eye again and again, so does virginity come back to the little girl under three years." (See Exhibit 136, Kethuboth 11b). This is the Talmudic doctrine on babies. Sodomy and intercourse with them is the prerogative of the Talmudic man. What a contrast to the teachings of Jesus!
However, that’s not all. "A maiden aged three years and one day may be acquired in marriage by coition …" See Exhibit 55 (Sanhedrin 55b), Exhibit 81 (Sanhedrin 69a-69b), and others. Baby girls of three can invoke sadistic punishments on those who have intercourse with them when they are "Niddahs" (menstruating), a physical impossibility (Sanhedrin 55b - Exhibit 55; Sanhedrin 69a - Exhibit 81). These type of crimes – and all their imaginable variations – appear time and again. What type of men wrote these texts? What type of men are their followers? Are these the Jewish Values Rabbi Lerner is preaching to?
That’s not all. In the confused Jewish reality borders get often blurred. I have recently explained how the misery of the people of Sderot – a small town near Gaza which often suffers of missiles attacks – is used by the Israeli Administration as an excuse for developing defensive missiles for Singapore. Mazal Tov! Eureka! Enriching the Warring Family’s Deep Pockets is a proper Jewish Value.
