On a Red-faced Jewish Woman ”Jews don’t love,” I said during a dinner a few years ago; the phrase summarized a lengthy argument I had made in the minutes before. Unknown to me at the moment, among the several invitees was a Jewish woman. Luckily, she was sitting far away from me. Immediately she began a very loud tirade. Everybody was anti-Semitic and the Jews were right in everything they said even if they were wrong was her main argument; she couldn’t logically answer to any of the claims I made. She was screaming and red-faced. At first I was worried; I didn’t have any intentions to spoil a nice evening. Then I looked around. People were smiling at me. Then I looked at the hostess, the granddaughter of a very well known American of the 19th Century. In her mid-eighties but still as vivacious as a teenager, she was beaming at me. The screaming woman had proved my point. Seconds later, the blaring lady stormed out of the house. The coffee was sweeter than ever, though I never add sugar. Facebook, March 2011 This month a new group was created in Facebook; Palestinian Intifada its name. It gained a large momentum with already over 140 thousand members and thousands joining every day. The group is calling for a Third Intifada in the Occupied Territories, as a local answer to the events in Egypt and Tunisia. Essentially it is calling for what I said in Israel’s Mubarak that it will probably happen soon. Considering who is behind Facebook, they have reasons to worry. Accordingly, the group announced that if the page would be removed, Muslims around the world will boycott Facebook. The Israeli media is already screaming murder. For this new Intifada, the Facebook group is calling for various steps within and outside Israel, including demonstrations along Israel’s border fences. They schedule the Third Intifada to begin on May 15, the Nakba Day. Nakba means “disaster” and “catastrophe” in Arabic. On Nakba, Atzmaut and Other Disasters The Nakba Day falls on the same date as Yom Haatzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day. This is not coincidence. During the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, well over three quarter of a million Palestinians were expelled from their homes and created the Palestinian Diaspora. It became their Nakba. It also became the day Israel became an illegitimate state. On November 29, 1947, Resolution 181 of the UN General Assembly decided to divide Palestine between Jews and Palestinians and became the base of the external recognition of the State of Israel by other sovereign entities. On May 15, 1948, Israel’s Declaration of Independence was issued by a small group of people – lead by a one David Ben-Gurion – who did not get popular consent for that. The declaration was never ratified by popular vote, though it was recognized by several other states. The new state never issued a social contract; Israel has no Constitution, and thus never ratified one. That means the State of Israel never got its people’s consent to be a sovereign entity – in other words, a state. The recent Base Laws legislated by the Knesset – the Israeli Parliament – are a fig leaf. The state claims they are the base for a future Constitution, but they do not cover key issues like human rights, are subject to arbitrary changes due to special needs of the coalition governments and – most important of all – were never ratified by the people. In a secondary issue, this entity doesn’t have a defined territory; there are neither internal nor external resolutions awarding the State of Israel a well defined territory. A problem deriving from the last is: Who are the sovereign’s subjects? The State of Israel fails to fulfill one of the two basic requisites to become a sovereign entity. Thus, Israel doesn’t have internal sovereignty. Moreover, it lacks also external sovereignty since the United Nations – the body that awarded sovereignty in this case – conditioned it in the respect of Human Rights and the parallel foundation of a Palestinian State. More than sixty years afterwards there is no doubt Israel purposely failed to fulfill both conditions. The United Nations Human Rights Council declared that recently when it accepted the Goldstone Report. Israel slaps the faces of its citizens and of all Palestinians ever since. Palestinians have all the rights in the world to protest and demand all their rights. Back to the Screaming Lady The Screaming Lady at the beginning of this article is not just a funny anecdote from my past. The ADL - the Anti-Defamation League – behaves in a similar way. The same goes for most organizations belonging, attached or dependant on the State of Israel. In a very basic fashion they prove time and again my point: Jews don’t love; I expanded that in my book The Cross of Bethlehem In Matthew 7:12 we read Jesus saying: “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” You can find similar texts even in the parts of the Bible accepted by Pharisaic rabbis. Dear Jews, if you bring destruction to other people, then you show exactly what’s within your hearts; it is called “hatred.” Please don’t blame others for the consequences.
