Weakness Netanyahu’s last success was the appointment of Tamir Pardo as Mossad Director at the beginning of 2011. With that, he completed the creation of a Sayeret Matkal run country; a military mafia ignoring red lights. Yet, in any other parameter he is a failure, with the Hebrew media openly claiming he is frozen, and many mainstream media readers comments claiming he is a coward. The recent unity agreement among Palestinian factions transferred the initiative to the Palestinian side. Israel cannot play anymore its beloved game of “Divide and Rule” between the PLO and Hamas. A clear sign of the change came last week when Egypt recognized de facto Palestine’s independence; Another Brick Off the Wall and the Rafah Border Crossing was opened. Finally, Netanyahu got unlucky. These months, he is visiting Western capitals, begging them not to turn their backs on Israel for the sake of the new democratic winds in the Arab world. Just before his departure to Washington in order to beg for support, a weakened American president got redeemed in the polls by performing justice from the hip, Wild West style, and assassinating somebody outside his legal jurisdiction territory. Honorable President – Self-Proclaimed Master of the Known Universe - please don’t kill me for reminding you everybody is innocent unless proven otherwise, and that punishment can be inflicted only after fair trial. Also let me remind you that governments destroying evidence – building sized evidences – do not create a credible position. Please, don’t pull out your cannons on me instead of answering for your crimes with words. In May 2011, Washington will meet a very weak Benjamin Netanyahu, a sterile mule in the service of outlaws. The Frozen Freezes Netanyahu can only hope to improve a bit the position of his government during his stay in Washington. In order to achieve this, he re-used a trick from last year and declared a moratorium on new constructions in Jerusalem. That is how he defined that for the sake of the Jewish population delicate ears. In fact, he froze the construction of a thousand buildings on the Israeli settlements of Har Homa and Pisgat Ze’ev, both in the West Bank and created in clear violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention (Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War). Har Homa is between Jerusalem and Bethlehem, next to the place called “The Gate” in The Cross of Bethlehem Not that this is the job of an Israeli prime minister. Netanyahu went out of his way to achieve that, contacting the regional construction committee and instructing them to delay any meetings on the issue for an undisclosed period of time. De facto, this means until one second after he returns to Jerusalem from Washington. Ya’ir Gavai, one of the members of the committee already warned “we’ll lose Jerusalem due to this error.” The king is naked, regardless how much girly-makeup he applies before meeting a self-appointed emperor. In the cold wilderness, the new winds of freedom freeze the makeup, causing it to drop on the thin and slippery ice covering the Middle Eastern sands, clearly showing us the ugly reality of institutionalized crime. Netanyahu, prove you are a real leader. Recognize your errors and crimes. Repent and fix. Then, you’ll be surprised to find yourself in the position of a righteous hero. Just skip the makeup, we don’t buy that. + +
